We would like to welcome you and your child to Shade School Nursery. For many of you, this will be your first experience of your child’s ‘school life’. We hope that you quickly get to know us and we look forward to getting to know you.

Start of the day – please help your child to find their picture card and put it on the board
Snacks – we provide fresh fruit, milk and water daily as part of our healthy school policy
sandwiches, jelly, playdough, sewing resources etc all of which help to make your child's learning experiences more interesting and meaningful. School funds – a school fund money box will be placed on the creative table. We would welcome a small donation (just 50p per child) to raise enough money per week to purchase items such as ingredients for baking,
School jumpers/coats – please write your child’s name inside their jumper and coat. We have 38 children all with similar clothing and it is very easy for them to get mixed up!!! As it is very warm in the classroom, it would be helpful if you could hang your child’s jumper in the cloakroom before school.
Lunchtime supervision – all money should be sent to school in an envelope clearly labelled with your child’s name and class.
Lunch boxes – please put your child’s name on the outside of their lunch box if at all possible so that it can be found easily by the dinner staff.
Letters – please check the cloakroom notice board to ensure you receive all letters and notices.
